Music is a wonderful language of analogy and metaphor.
Are we in tune? Are we in tone? Are we in time?
An evening up of up-close-and-personal conversations with
the guitar legend and philosopher Robert Fripp.
Listen in and learn how to:
-
Move from beginner to mastery.
-
Go from possible to the impossible.
-
Listen to your body.
-
Sit on a pointed stick.
-
Honor necessity and sufficiency.
You will enjoy stories of working with Bowie, how King Crimson gained international recognition,
when Robert met his wife Toyah Willcox, and the background that made both the Fripp kids
legends in their own worlds.
Guitarist, composer, and producer Robert Fripp is unlike many legendary musicians. He is an intellectual, exceptionally well-read in multiple areas of study, and yet a modest man.
Founding member of King Crimson, he has collaborated with the likes of David Bowie, Peter Gabriel, and Brian Eno. In fact, Rolling Stone magazine named Robert Fripp 42 among the top 100 guitarists of all time.
As much as Robert is internationally-known for his brilliance with the guitar... he is a superb and entertaining speaker.
Robert Fripp is founding (and ongoing) member of King Crimson; collaborator and contributor to David Bowie, Peter Gabriel, and Brian Eno.
Patricia Fripp is a Hall of Fame professional keynote speaker, author, executive speech coach.
Live with sister Patricia Fripp; recorded February 2008.
