What is the Cavett Award?
Patricia Fripp is a Past President of the National Speakers Association. Her honors as an internationally acclaimed professional keynote speaker include a CSP, CPAE and NSA's highest honor -- the Cavett Award.

Overview: The National Speakers Association (NSA) is the leading organization for experts who speak professionally. NSA's 4,000 members include experts in a variety of industries and disciplines who reach audiences as trainers, educators, humorists, motivators, consultants, authors and more. Since 1973, NSA has provided resources and education designed to advance the skills, integrity and value of its members and the speaking profession.

Designations and Awards:
CSP - Certified Speaking Professional
The Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation, conferred by the National Speakers Association and the International Federation for Professional Speakers, is the speaking profession's international measure of professional platform skill.
The CSP designation is earned through demonstrating competence in a combination of standards:
Professional platform skills;
Professional business management;
Professional education; and
Professional association.
Speakers must be members of NSA or another IFFPS organization for at least three years and complete a rigorous application process to earn the CSP designation.
CPAE - Council of Peers Award for Excellence - Speaker Hall of Fame
Awarded to a maximum of five members annually for demonstrated platform excellence and professionalism. CPAEs are an elite group, recipients include: Ken Blanchard, Norman Vincent Peale, Ronald Reagan, and Zig Ziglar. For more information visit: http://www.nsaspeaker.org
Cavett Award
The Cavett Award is NSA's most cherished award. It is presented annually to the member whose accomplishments over the years have reflected outstanding credit, respect, honor and admiration in the Association and the speaking profession, and whose actions (in terms of sharing, guiding and inspiring other members) most closely parallel the illustrious career of NSA Founder Cavett Robert, CSP, CPAE.
